John Myer is General Counsel at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, America’s laboratory for particle physics and accelerators. He leads the Office of General Counsel and is a member of Fermilab’s leadership team. John earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and his B.A. from Oberlin College. Before joining Fermilab, John was Associate General Counsel and Leader of the Global Government Contracts Center of Excellence at Ingersoll Rand, plc, a $12 billion, publicly-traded manufacturing and energy services business. Previously Myer was in private practice at two international law firms, where his practice focused on major federally-funded construction projects.
Beth Fancsali is Deputy General Counsel at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, America’s laboratory for particle physics and accelerators. She provides legal counsel to all areas of the laboratory and also is a Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP). Beth earned her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law and her B.S. degree in business administration from Miami University (Ohio). Before joining Fermilab, Beth was a partner in an international law firm where her practice over more than two decades spanned the areas of compliance, business counseling, internal and government investigations, and litigation.
Karen Bormann is the FRA Legal Office Administrator at Fermilab. In this position, Karen manages all operational aspects of the delivery of legal services. She gives technical advice and assistance in all areas of legal administration. She began working at Fermilab in the Business Services Section in 2001. Since taking her appointment with the Legal Office, Karen has and continues to serve as the liaison between all levels of DOE oversight and the FRA Legal Office and clients, stakeholders and retained outside counsel and legal offices at other DOE contractors. She also works as the link between attorneys and FRA management staff. Karen also oversees insurance policies for FRA and maintains the law library on site and is notary public.
